Enforced Insomnia

I've had a sum total of ten hours of sleep in the last 80 hours. Am walking around in a total daze. And now that I'm done with the tests, I know from experience that I'll have great difficulty sleeping. The tests were ok, nothing great, though.

I was just listening to Bad Day by Daniel Powter. I really like that song. It manages to cheer me up no matter how upset I am. Like the video too. I can't imagine my life without my iPod. Its tremendously soothing to have music in the background always.

Mum and I are going to buy dolls for Navratri in a short while. Its my favourite festival. One of my earliest memories is working with my Pati[grandmum] and Mum to set everything up. Hope I get some good stuff today.

Will probably watch a movie tomorrow - The Devil Wears Prada. Still not done with the book. Its progressing really, really slowly. Also have to prepare for a placement test on Friday. Hey, my life actually seems to be more hectic than it actually is.

Well, like the warthog, meerkat and lion said, "Hakuna Matata!"

I'm Back!!!

Gosh, its been a really long time. And I sound like a school girl from Enid Blyton's books. Don't know why I haven't gotten around to blogging before this. Its not like I've been hectically busy, or anything like that. I've been occupied, but not all the time. Well, better late than never! [Let's see how many cliches I can work into this]

I had gone to Singapore a while back with my family. Its a great place. Everyone's very friendly. What did I buy? Nothing much, usual touristy stuff. Bought a DVD of the first season of Grey's Anatomy. I really enjoy that show. Oh, I also got this amazing jigsaw puzzle, with all my fav Disney characters on it. The pieces are really tiny. Its gonna be great! I couldn't get lots of anything 'cos I had Mum looking over my shoulder all the time, telling me things like "A penny saved is a penny earned" and "Look before you leap". Well, she didn't actually, but I had to keep up my cliche count!

Got placed in a VLSI company. The day of the interview was real fun. Stayed in college till half past ten. Most of my friends got into the same company too. I guess birds of a feather do really flock together.

I'm done with my GRE and TOEFL. That's really a big relief. Now I've to just concentrate on college, which is easier said than done. This semester is promising to be a challenging one. Tier 2 placements are on in college, and everyone's busy studying the so called "basics" again. I'm not even trying.

I'm having terrible luck with my movies lately. The last three flicks that I watched in the theatre have been terrible. But, I watched Mulan at home, and totally loved it. Mushu, you can be my guardian lizard, sorry dragon, anytime!

Internals coming up on Monday, so I gotta go and study. My headache is increasing by leaps and bounds, so I won't get anything substantial done today. Well, that's life. Slogging till two in the morning on the day of the test. Back to having my nose stuck to the grindstone. Back to burning the midnight oil. Until later.............................................
